Je ne puis travailler que par passion.
Mes passions s’émoussent
au fil du temps, des expérimentations,
de l’apprentissage, des interrogations résolues…
J’en étais presque là, (et las),
dans les modes d’expressions « traditionnels »
qui m’occupaient en peinture et en sculpture.
J’étais également dans le questionnement théorique
sur le quoi, le pourquoi et le comment
de l’œuvre, et du processus artistique.
J’avais le sentiment que mon travail s’essoufflait
alors que je le maîtrisais de mieux en mieux.
J’avais l’intuition que l’art contemporain
s’écrasait dans un mur infranchissable.
L’art digital vient pour moi comme une révélation ;
celle, bien sûr, de nouveaux outils exceptionnels,
me permettant de croiser de façon jubilatoire
l’image, l’écriture et même le son.
Mais au delà, il y a aussi l’idée
que ce type de pratique pourrait participer
à inventer la « porte étroite »
dans ce mur que nous essayons tous de franchir.
J’ai eu la joie d’être choisi
pour trois réalisations importantes visibles
dans «commandes» «art digital»

I can work only when I feel enthusiastic.
My enthusiasm tends to fade
as time goes by, as I experiment,
learn new things, and answer the questions I ask myself….
I had almost reached this stage, wearily, alas,
aced with the «traditional» modes of expression
I used in painting and sculpture.
I was also preoccupied by theoretical questions
on the whys, and wherefores of the work of art
and the processes adopted by the artist.
I had the feeling that my work was drying up
whereas I had more and more mastery.
I sensed that contemporary art
was being dashed against an impassable wall.
Digital art has come upon me like a revelation,
the revelation of new and exceptional tools, of course,
which allow me to interweave with great delight
image, writing and even sound.
But beyond this, there is also the idea
that this type of expression could help
towards the invention of the “strait gate”
in the wall, which we are all attempting to break through.
